Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I heard that Russians used to give odd number of flowers, is that true?
A: Yes, and that's really important. We NEVER give even number of flowers. We don't know why but it's considered to be a bad sign.
Q: Do russians give thirteen flowers?
A: Usually don't. Thirteen is considered to be a bad number.
Q: What are the meaning of colors in Russia?
A: There are no strict rules when it comes to the colour of flowers but we would recommend you to follow two pieces of advice. First, red always works. It's good as a sign for friendship, for official occasions and by no means as a sign for love. Second, we wouldn't recommend you giving yellow flowers. Some people consider yellow to be a sign for unfaithfulness or separation.
Q: What are the main flower holidays in Russia and other countries of former USSR?
A: First of all, birthday and Women's Day which is on March 8. These two are "must give flowers". St. Valentine's Day is also becoming very popular lately. But as far as we know, women are doubly happy when they receive flowers unexpectedly :)
Q: You don't offer flower compositions in your catalogue. Why?
A: That's another difference in traditions of giving flowers in ex-USSR countries and the rest of the world. Usually we don't give bouquets formed from different sorts of flowers. We traditionnaly add greens to a bouquet but don't mix flowers of different sorts. But if you want to send a composition you can send us email with it's description. We'll reply with payment information very soon.
Q: I don't know her phone number, what should I do?
A: Give us any phone number where she can be reached (parents, friends, office) and tell us the time and date when your recepient can be reached by that number.
Q: What does your courier do if he comes to deliver flowers but nobody is at home?
A: Please, read our terms & conditions where You'll find the answer for this and many other important questions concerning delivery and payment.
