Invited Lectures

The renewing list of invited lectures can be found here

Scope

The focus will be on local properties of strongly correlated systems: high-temperature superconductors, magnetoresistive manganites, low-dimensional and layered materials, Jahn-Teller and similar systems probed by NMR, EPR, optics, ARPES and other related methods.

The Conference is devoted to 200 years of establishing of Kazan State University and the 60th anniversary of EPR discovering. Here a non-Euclidian geometry was created by Lobachevsky (1826), a theory of organic compounds was developed by Butlerov (1861), the electron paramagnetic resonance was discovered by Zavoisky 60 years ago (in 1944!). Among students were a writer Lev Tolstoy, a composer Miliy Balakirev, a politician Vladimir Ul'yanov-Lenin. Among honored professors are naturalist Alexander Humboldt, astronomer and physicist Dominique Arago, mathematician Karl Gauss, physicists Anatol Abragam, Brebis Bleaney, Alex Müller

Kazan is located on Volga river at a half way between Moscow and Ural mountains.

There are regular flights from Kazan International Airport to Frankfurt (Germany) operated by Lufthansa. The timetable can be found here (UPDATED!!!).

Abstracts

All abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format and sent by e-mail to Scientific Secretary Dmitrii.Tayurskii@ksu.ru or dtayursk@hitv.ru. The length of the Abstract is limited by one page. Please type your text by using the following parameters: page size A4, margins – top 1”, bottom – 1.24”, right and left – 1”, font Times New Roman, size 12pt, line spacing 1 line.
